Go where young people are and establish personal relationships with them
Earn the right to share the Good News of Jesus Christ
Provide fun, adventurous, life-changing and skill-building experiences
Invite young people to respond personally to the Good News and walk in friendship with them regardless of their response
Work in community alongside like-minded adults (volunteer leaders, committee members, donors, and staff)
Young Life was born in Texas, United States, in 1941. Its founder, Jim Rayburn, took on the challenge of reaching out to young people uninterested in knowing about God and uninterested in attending a local church. Over time Young Life has grown not only in the United States, it currently has a presence in more than 100 countries around the world.
Young Life in Peru was commissioned by Jim Rayburn who sent a young German Dieter Körner. Dieter together with a group of young Peruvians passionate about youth started the movement in our country. More than 50 years have passed, more than 500 volunteer leaders and thousands of young people impacted. Today we continue with the same vision and the same heart to reach the next young man in our country.

Peru’s population is currently 32 million 625 thousand 948 people, of which it is estimated that 27% are adolescents and young people between the ages of 10 and 24.
